Have you ever dreamed of sleeping above the tropical jungle floor, right alongside the native songbirds, as the wind whistles through the tree leaves? If so, head down to Bocas del Toro, Panama, and find your perfect little slice of Caribbean paradise. Once upon a time, it was a sleepy little community and has rapidly transformed into an upscale vacation destination for all, from millennials to those young-at-heart. There is truly no better place to spend nights among the trees than our vibrant island province.
Bocas del Toro is excited to announce the arrival of IBUKU Island Treehouses in 2022. These luxury treehouses bring forth a refreshing sense of wonder to our Bocas del Toro boutique hotel. Let Your Inner Child Fly Free in Our Panama Treehouse
The Bocas del Toro team spent lots of time finding, researching, and imagining the idyllic treehouse designs to complement our existing overwater Panama villas. Eventually, they connected with the illustrious Elora Hardy from IBUKU, after viewing her popular TED Talk. The treehouses have been designed using innovative approaches to connect our guests to nature. Soon, you’ll be able to experience the immense attention to detail, care, and passion that Hardy and her team put into these wondrous structures. Let’s continue with a brief glimpse of your future treehouse home away from home!
Ground Floor
A pair of handcrafted Balinese hanging chairs sit suspended over a lush private garden. Sit in the embrace of the chairs (and nature) and look out onto the mangrove preserve.
First Floor
Step into the bedroom, waltzing along smooth bamboo floors, with a canabrava ceiling. The outside blends into the interior, especially when the windows are open. Let cleansing waters and awe wash over you in the private jungle shower and tub, located outside.
Second Floor
High ceilings at the top of the stairs indicate your arrival in the living room. Wood textures and artisan bamboo furnishings will surround you and yours. This is an experience to nourish the mind, body, and soul!

The first two treehouses will be completed by July 1, 2022. You can find all accommodation rates online. We cannot wait for you to step into our little slice of heaven this summer. Please note: our resort requires all guests and staff to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. See you all soon!
